Why 1:1 is different from a class

In a group class, the teacher is managing a room. In a 1:1 session, everything is about you — your breath pattern, your physical limitations, your nervous system response, where you got stuck last week and what's opening now.

Jordy teaches from direct observation. He adjusts in real time. He remembers what you worked on last session and builds on it. Over time, this creates a practice that has a genuine arc — not just a series of one-off experiences.

Pranayama & Breathwork:

This is where Jordy's depth is exceptional. 400+ hours of dedicated study and 2,000+ teaching hours in pranayama. Whether you're learning foundational techniques or working with advanced practices, the instruction is specific, safe, and grounded in real tradition.

Meditation & Visualization:

Guided and supported — not left alone with a timer. Jordy works with you to find the form of practice that suits your mind, builds focus over time, and becomes something you can actually do daily without forcing it.

Jordy’s course and classes are amazing. I would walk into class each morning to find Jordy already meditating and in his calm, grounding state. Always a good atmosphere with flowers or candles. We learned not only the different types of breath techniques, but some background on anatomy, physiology and why everything is important! Very comprehensive! Even the tone and pace of his teaching were impressive for someone like me with a very short attention span! Classes were always interesting and engaging. The breath-work/ pranayama we learned is one of the most important skills I’ve ever learned because it has profoundly helped me with meditating and daily practice.

Thanks to the technology of Pranayama and the understanding of breathing, I was able to expand my energy centers (chakras) and release old emotions stuck in my chest and back.
